Its been a long time since I updated on here! We have had a whirlwind of the past couple of weeks! Rosey's birthday came around and she wanted a Doctor Who Tardis cake. At first I was planning to lay it flat but then the kids challenged me to make it standing so I did my best! I just cut the cake into square pieces and then stacked them. I had to stablize the cake because it was leaning as I was adding on the layers so I just inserted quite a few skweer sticks. I used a regular whipped cream frosting tinted blue. We trekked along with school and continued our studies of the British Isles with Scotland. We watched The Water Horse Legends of the Deep and in researching found the Clootie Well which was very interesting to read about! Goosey decided to do her postcard on that! We made a quick stop in Ireland as well and watched the Secret of Roan Inish! Last week we had a storm come thru which knocked our internet out for 5 days so that made things a little more difficult as far as the kids being able to research online but at the same time we ended up getting so much done around the house (especially me!!). We did miss our Doctor Who marathon nights since we weren't able to access Netflix but we had some awesome board game nights with Ticket to Ride and Pandemic. I think we are all in agreement that we are going to make at least one day and night electronic free!
