And so it begins....we are all big Doctor Who fans over here so we have begun our own Doctor Who 50th Anniversary countdown week!! Since Sun, we have made Fezes, well because fezes are cool. We made them by sewing plastic canvas together and glued a velvety type of material onto it. A fob watch which were parts we pieced together from craft store/beading supplies. The kids also made sonic screwdriver pens by molding clay onto the outside of a pen. River Song Journals were made out of a regular notebook (the kids cut and glued cardboard windows to create the 3D effect before painting the whole journal Tardis blue). Goosey is starting to work on decorations for the party so she painted a Bad Wolf sign. And finally, my project was sewing the kids a Dalek bag so they have a place to put everything they'll be making throughout the week until the actual party that we are hoping to have when we watch the 50th anniversary. The Dalek bag was just sewed together and Goosey made the whisk and plunger out of fabric and attached it to her bag.
