We continued on with school as best we could. We learned about the Transcontinental Railroad, the Wild West, and cowboys. The kids built the Lego railroad set we had (its not your steam engine train but hey it works!) and then they added an old west building.

The kids explored the Diamond R Ranch website from the National Cowboy museum. Then we watched the PBS Transcontinental Railroad documentary.
